Merry Christmas

The Christmas PJs and

Reading before bed

On Christmas Eve we went over to Glen's parents house for dinner and hung out for a little while. Then we came home and the boys got to open their Christmas pjs and get ready for bed. Christmas morning the boys got up and opened presents. It was quite funny/sad when Jaron came down from the stairs and couldn't tell if Santa had come or not. With a little direction to his small stash he was quite happy. I had to remind him that he got the new beds too and he was satisfied.

Christmas morning is so wonderful. I love just watching the boys play with their new things, eating Christmas morning rolls and just spending time together. It is those kind of moments that I would just love to bottle up and access it in it's entirety later. (All the thoughts, the feelings, the sights, the smells, the people, everything)
Christmas comes at such a reflective time of year. A time when I can look back over the year and really see the wonderful blessings that have come to us due to the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Of course we aren't perfect, but it is amazing how much the hand of the Lord can be recognized in many of life's journeys, easy or challenging. I hope that during this coming new year I can be more aware of those wonderful blessings as they are happening and be more grateful.
