Yesterday we spent the day with my cousins and their children. It was really fun! I was quite fortunate growing up to live close to my cousins on my mom's side which left a lot of opportunities for get-togethers and playing. It is such a great thing to call your cousins friends. I feel bad for my husband because he just doesn't understand the joys of cousins. Although, he is learning by spending time with my family. He is super excited to go to my family reunion in a couple of weeks. Hence my birthday presents from him were all camping related.
We went to the zoo and then afterwards we went to my cousin's house for some water fun and barbeque. It is always nice to be able to get together with family and see the fun the children have together too.

Looks like fun. I like the animal pics, they almost look like they belong on post cards. Yeah, our family missed out on the whole cousin factor. I'm closer to Chase's cousins than I am my real cousins. I don't think I would even recognize half of them if I passed them on the street. Most of Chase's family is really close and grew up spending time around eachother. We have a lot of fun when everyone gets together. I missed out on it when I was a kid growing up, but I like to think it makes up for it now with Chase's fam. Sorry I write such long comments : ).
My goodness those boys are cute Rach!! The zoo looks like lots of fun. I understand the cousin thing, my husband doesn't understand that either. You are very lucky.
