Weekend Fun

We had an action packed weekend full of family and fun.

This weekend Jaron and I went to the Gem and Mineral Show with my sister and her family. I have never been before even though it is an annual event. It was mostly a lot of people selling gems and minerals, but they did have some exhibits along the walls, such as dinosaurs made out of foam. So, if any of you have an old couch that you don't know what to do with, then here is an idea. :)

On Friday night, we went to this play. We weren't quite sure what to expect. We figured it was going to be good because we have yet to see a bad production put on by the Hale Center. It was put together quite well and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. When the play first started Glen leaned over to me and said,"I think your parents would really like this, too." So, there you go mom and dad :)

"All Shook Up tells the story of a square little town in the middle of a square state in the middle of a square decade where a lonely young girl dreams of hitting the open road. Into her life rides a guitar-playin' roustabout who changes everything. Combining all-time favorite Elvis hits with a healthy dose of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, All Shook Up is surefire fun for rock 'n' roll fans of all ages! Feb. 19 through Apr. 4 Musical"

On Saturday,we went up to the aquarium with Aunt Jenny who was visiting for the weekend. Jaron enjoyed spending time with Aunt Jenny looking that the aqua life.

We also went to the a park to fly our kites. I forgot my camera at the park, but I will mud paint a picture for you. The boys were enjoying the kites for a little while, but then they wandered off to the edge of the parking lot where they found some dirt. So, Lisa and I were flying the kites watching the boys as they got into a dirt throwing contest. When we got back from the park we snapped a couple pictures to remember that boys will be boys.

Yes, those are mud boogers. I am the most awesome mom ever!

On Sunday, we got together with some of our cousins families and Ben and Jenny. It was nice. We just hung out, ate, chatted and played while the wind raged outside.

Rachel,
Thank you for the update on the weekend events. Yes, your kids are growing really fast and are so cute. I loved the mud buggers and the wrinkly feet! What a great way to keep track of all the neat things you do.

Love, Mom

Looks like you guys have had a lot of fun. When we move back to Utah this summer you will have to let me know what there is to do.

Cute pics! I still think Jaron looks like Glen and Noah looks like you, Rachel. Cam was looking at your blog with me and thought the dinosaurs were cool. Then he got all concerned and asked if Jaron was lost, because he was in the picture by himself with dinosaurs in the background. I reassured him, he was fine, that you were the one taking the picture and were right there. We need to schedule a time for you guys to come swimming with us some time at the Legacy Center. We'll be seeing more of eachother probably. We're moving in with my parents, so maybe we can drive up together. Fun and interesting times ahead : ).
