Dirty Rotten Scoundrels the Musical This is the play that we went to this month. The acting was really good and we had fun. I guess they got permission to change some things to make it less risque, so that was nice. The songs were fun. One of my favorite song lines: Hope is the hand that squeezes the heart to help it start beating again.
The Rock and Mineral Show: This picture is kind of blurry, but it is the only one I took. I really love going to the Rock and Mineral Show. We actually go every year. I am kind of nerdy that way I guess. I actually wanted to go into Geology at one point in my life. It was funny when I told Jaron we were going to the Rock show. He got really excited and told me he would make sure and bring his air guitar. When I explained that it wasn't that kind of Rock show he wasn't as excited until we got there and he and Noah got to get a grab bag of totally awesome rocks.
Cutting my Hair. Since I continue to grow in my middle region and I have been fighting the getting-old bug that seems to be creeping up on me, I just needed to do something that I could control. This equals cutting my hair. It is even shorter than I did a few of months ago. It just keeps getting shorter which is very ironic for those who have known me in high school and college with my rather long curly unchanging hair. When Glen saw it he said "Well I guess the curliness and bounce make up for the lack of length." It feels so good and I love it. When my brother saw it he said I looked even more like my older sister who used to have similiarly long hair that has gotten shorter and shorter over the years.Thursday, Jaron and I went on a date to The Wizard of Oz, the local play put on by the children's theater. Jaron really liked it. This was his first play so I am glad that he enjoyed it and was able to sit through the whole thing. When we were going home he said,"Mom, that was totally fun." Over that last couple of days he has managed to teach Noah how to follow him and march around the room saying "yo hee hoe." Glen also heard Jaron whisper/singing to himself "Ding dong the witch is dead" during sacrament meeting on Sunday. Obviously not apropriate, but still funny.
On Friday we went with my sister and her playgroup to the supermarket for a tour. The boys loved it especially since they got a cookie at the end.

Rachel, I love your hair! I am fighting the same dilemma as to whether to cut my long hair or not...ugh! Sounds like you guys have been doing some fun things!

Fun, fun! I love your hair; I'm always jealous of people who can pull off short hair and look cute! I'm a nerd, too, I took my kids to the rock museum and festival when we lived in OR. My mom also took the kids to the rock show and Addie went for activity days. Fun and free entertainment!
I think your new haircut is super cute! I have not been brave enough to cut my hair short for a while now, but I remember when you went with me to get my hair chopped! That was a short time of daringness! HAHA

I love your short hair! So cute! For the first time in YEARS I'm growing my hair. I also needed a change just wish it was as fast as cutting it.
