Halloween Week

This week for FHE we carved pumpkins and made frosted cookies with a neighbor.

On Thursday for preschool we went to the Red Barn, which is a place you can ride a wagon out to a pumpkin field to choose a pumpkin. We already had pumpkins at home and most of the pumpkins left in the field were a little past their prime. After we got back to the barn, we had fresh doughnuts and the kids got a pumpkin activity book. Jaron really liked the wagon ride.

This year we just went to the neighborhood Trick or Treat lane by out house. It was just perfect for us parents and the kids. My sister also came to share in the fun. Glen and Jaron were super heroes,Noah was the penguin sidekick, and I was the Arch Nemesis.

Afterward we went to Glen's parents for a bit and then we came back and had a spooky dinner with my sister and her family. We ate worm sandwiches (sliced hot dog in sauce), an Eyeball (jello in the shape of an eye), drank ghoulade, and made gingerbread cookies. Sorry no food pics yet. I have to get them from my sister.

I can't resist posting this fun penguin walk.

Very cute! You guys looked great! The day you went to the barn, was that the day it snowed? It looks cold.
